The southern Vosges is a region that owes its appeal to its exceptional natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Discover the region by following one of the many themed trails, such as the Alsace wine route, which crosses a succession of rolling hills in the Vosges foothills, or the cheese route, which includes the village of Munster and is well worth a visit. The valleys of Alsace are of great interest, and the Florival-Guebwiller valley is home to the "gros ballon", the highest point in the Vosges at 1,424m. The Park also extends into the Vosges Saônoises, renowned for its ponds, waterfalls and the Route de la Mirabelle or Route of 1000 Ponds.
Visiting the Ballons des Vosges region also means taking an interest in local know-how by browsing the region's many markets and meeting local producers who will be proud to let you sample their products.
Our chalets at La Bresse in the Hautes-Vosges are perfect for making the most of a colourful stay in the heart of the park.
